1 // have you ever had a blog, or have you ever considered starting one?

The only blog thing i have ever had, was probably the little blog thing on MySpace.

2 // if you could be a member of any band, which one would it be?

Thats a tough one, but it would have to be Brantley Gilbert just because hes my favorite music artist.

3 // valentine's day is on the horizon...are you the date-planner type or do you fly by the seat of your pants?  do you have anything planned for February 14 this year?

Honestly, I just do whats comes to mind, I do however get her presents for it but this year she has it planned out.

 4 // tell us about a date-night-gone-wrong for you and your fiancĂ©.

I don't think we've ever had a date night gone wrong.

(He might not think so but I think our "date" the other night snowmobiling didn't go as planned at all... To elaborate a little Brenden's friend invited us to go snowmobiling with him since he has an extra one, we show up and the guy is an hour late, he had to have Brenden help him fix one of the snowmobiles and the other was at a friends so we have to take turns riding it and it wasn't running right so we only got to ride for 5 min [if that].)

5 // and let's cover all the topics...sports...who are you rooting for in the superbowl and why?

Im not really a fan of football but i feel as if the patriots will take the win.

(He's a hockey fan.... go Penguins!!)

Weekend and Monday Recap

Wednesday, January 28, 2015

Last Friday we had a lazy night. We ordered Chinese and watched One Tree Hill on Netflix. I finally convinced Brenden to watch it with me! We started on episode one and we still are on season one now but we have been watching a few episodes every time we have nothing to do. He actually likes it, or so he says!
Saturday we took down all of our Christmas decorations (about time, yes I know but I just love looking at all of it! Haha) and then we started to put up some Valentines day decorations. We also went to Hobby Lobby (I have a slight addiction and buy way tooo much stuff there!) and we got a few Valentines decorations, chocolate molds and chocolate, and some fabric to make 3 wreaths (one for my sister, my mom and me).

My pencil tree with Valentines day decorations on it

Sunday we had a lazy day, went to my parents for pizza then came home and watched The Interview. We did not like The Interview at all. Yes there were a few parts that made us laugh but we expected it to be pretty good considering so many people were talking about how great of a movie it was.
Sunday night we got around six inches of snow and it kept snowing all day Monday so after work on we went to one of Brenden's friends house and went snowmobiling. We didn't have the chance to ride that long so we are planning to go again soon!

This was my "grumpy" face because I HATE wearing a million layers of clothes!

xoxo,
Courtney

PS. Sorry I haven't posted the last few days! I have been super busy at work and when I get home I've been too tired!

Arguments Are No Fun!

Friday, January 23, 2015

Brenden and I are a normal couple, we fight. We normally fight over little things and in the middle of the argument we just start laughing and realize we are crazy for fighting over something so small. Remember we live and work together, so we do get frustrated pretty often because of not having any personal space at all.

However on Wednesday on our way home from work we got into probably the worse fight we have every had. It was over money and bills (of course!!!). It all started out as a normal conversation and escalated very quickly. I started questioning everything. In my head I was thinking (irrationally of course) "If we can't agree on money and who pays what how are we even going to work out?", "We don't have any of the same views on anything!" (okay just bills and religion). Then I said one thing I was thinking, out loud that I really wish I didn't.... "Why are we even getting married?!"... You know the saying think before you speak? Well I clearly did NOT do that! UGH! That just made everything SO much worse!

When we got home (and we weren't really speaking) I changed out of my work clothes and went to dinner with my parents. When I got home Brenden was gone. He went to his best friend's house to stay the night and let things calm down. He came back in the morning before work and we have been getting along a lot better since then. We both apologized and agreed on the money and bills conversation we had the night before (which he also apologized about because he realized after talking to his friend that I was right and I was only saying what was most logical for us and for our marriage).

So It has been a very stressful and crazy week! Especially for a couple that doesn't really get into huge arguments. Only little ones we end up laughing about. So now everything is back to normal! Thank goodness!

Oh Where Did The Weekend Go?!

Tuesday, January 20, 2015

This past weekend was so busy we didn't even get a chance to enjoy it! Bummer I know...

Friday we had to leave work early because a plumber was coming to our house (our main drain in the laundry room was backing up. Lovely!). So we rushed out of work to make it home in time and we waited an hour past when the guy was suppose to come and he still wasn't there. So I figured I waited long enough, I'm going to call him! Go figure, he "forgot he scheduled our appointment and wouldn't be able to make it out till monday afternoon". I'm sorry but that wasn't going to work for us. One night without showering and not being able to dishes or laundry was enough for me! Also we didn't want to leave work early again on monday so I called someone else who was available Saturday.

Saturday I had an appointment to go look at more wedding dresses with my mom. While we were dress shopping, Brenden stayed home while the new plumber worked on our drains. I don't know what the problem was but its now fixed! Woohooo! When I got home I accidently fell asleep and didn't get up till late so we decided to just stay home and have a movie night. We watched Gone Girl, even though Brenden wasn't too thrilled with my movie selection he still watched it with me. We both felt the movie started out very slow and boring but we both agreed that what we predicted was completely different than what happened. So we ended up liking the movie, but we did NOT agree with Nick's decision to stay. I think he's crazyyyy! Haha!

(Here's zoomed in parts of some dresses i liked, i didn't want to put full pictures on incase brenden does get on my blog, which is veryyy rare, but I'd rather be safe than sorry!)

Sunday I let Brenden sleep in while I made breakfast and cleaned the house. Once he was awake and ate we headed to my cousins house two hours away to go see their baby girl Nina, who was born on Tuesday! We stayed up there all day and I didn't complain one bit because I got to hold her the whole time! (Ugh baby fever go away please!!) Then when we got home I got things ready for work in the morning and lunch packed and we went straight to bed!

We had a pretty busy weekend and it went way too fast! So I hope next weekend I will be able to relax more and actually enjoy not being at work!

Review: American Sniper

Friday, January 16, 2015

Last night we went to see American Sniper. Brenden has been talking about this movie since he saw a preview for it like two months ago! From him talking about it so much I actually started looking forward to seeing it to. We thought it was showing in theatres today (Friday) but we were wrong! They had a few showings last night, so of course we HAD to go see it! And let me tell you, it did NOT disappoint! It seriously was one of those movies where you were glued to the screen, and didn't want to look away!

American Sniper is based on the autobiography of the same title by Chris Kyle, he had more than 150 confirmed kills (which is the new record). The movie shows his 4 tours over seas and all of the struggles he had to endure over there and also the day to day struggles dealing with PTSD when he returned home from those tours.

I really was touched about how brave and great of a guy he was, and I really think Bradley Cooper did a great job at portraying him. I would recommend this movie to everyone, okay its rated "R" so not exactly everyone but it truly was an amazing film! Since I loved this movie sooo much Brenden surprised me by ordering the book for me! I can't wait for it to come in!
